The Origin Of The Universe

Today I learned more about the origin of the universe.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. It took six days for God to create the heavens and the earth.

On the first day God created light and divided it from darkness. This means that God created night and day. On the second day, God created the firmament, meaning the atmosphere of the earth.

On the next day God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. On the same day, God also created plants.

On the fourth day, God created the sun stars, the moon, etc. On the fifth day, God created the birds and the animals that live in the water. On the sixth day, God created land animals.

      The Bible says that:
“On the seventh day, God rested. He blessed the seventh day and sanctified it; that is, He set it apart as a special day.”

Some people think that, because of this, God created the heavens and the earth on six twenty-four hour days, but some people do not think that is true. They say that there could have been a lot more than just 24 hours. This was interesting to me. I never knew that before.

There are a lot of details to the origin of the universe. It should be obvious that theories such as evolution are not true. How can the plants and the animals and everything else evolve out of nowhere? Like I said, in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
